Volunteer Spotlight: Terry Basham

Introducing Terry Basham, a docent at the National Museum of the Marine Corps:


How long have you been volunteering at the Museum? 

I've been volunteering with the Museum for six years.

What made you decide to volunteer with the Museum?

Being a Marine, I thought this would be a great place to volunteer. Additionally, my wife said I had to get out of the house!

 What is your favorite memory at the Museum?

Sitting with another one of our docents, Frank Matthews, and having long talks about his experineces in World War II and at Iwo Jima.

What is your favorite gallery/artifact in the Museum?
  
My favorite artifact is the Iwo Flag.
